Time to stop the victim stories

Too many victim stories since begining of 2008.

Too many 'is all about u!' stories.

Not getting anywhere, forget about the intention, objectives, goals, the worst thing, start picking up the 'success model' of Westports people.. shit!

Is time to change! Like Rickie said, is time to move on...

Realignment is needed, call for duty. Where am I forgetin all the machanism to get the thing works? I am tha source. hahaha. Is that meant all these while for the victim stories that create the DT is also sourcing from me? Hmm... is time to differ all the judgement, unconfortable reasonable excuses, and get it right. Commited 100% ??!

SLA, WBS, SOP, SOW, JD, Workflow, Projects..... how these gonna fix the Human issue? Doubt, yet, need to bliv ?! Conflicting internally.

Too early to say? perhaps. Lets wish the best hope on that this time WPIT really wanna demand for a chance and not yet another stories telling session. Goosh.. another victim story automated out?!

Check point in life.. :)

It is really long long time after AW that I dint spend time to coach people, where I used to spend lots of time doing this during my ex-company. Too busy? or the environment no need me to do so..? Or.. perhaps, I am slowing down in doing so... :) being not responsible.. haha

After a missing of 1 month from the cyber life.. hmm... where am I now? Picking up more projects and having more people to work with me together in interesting journey... and have more chance to work with bigger team, and slowly seeing the result come by. It is really a fruitful one...

Something strike me today when I talk to one of my new hire today about Goal Setting Workshop.. haha.. I used to, again very good in this goal setting thing...  because I used to learn to set goal, and set alot of unrealistic goal... and get people to laugh at me always about my goal, but after all, there is one goal I never give up, and a goal I keep communicate to every one, I want to retire by 35.. haha :P

I told Chow this afternoon, we used to let the government to set goal for our academic path, you need to score xx As' in order to go for medical school, xx As' to go to government universities. In college, we again let our chenselor to set goal for us, to be the top tier graduates, a CGPA of 3.5 above is a min requirements, and the better is 3.8?? :) and too bad if you get a 2.5 GPA, someone told me he will find hard to find job with 2.5 GPA.. :)

Something which is true is, after the school life, who set goal for us on our next 30 years journey? Government and School Chenselor just told us to score good grades, but after we grads, we tend to loss our dependent on other to set goal for us. Some, not even know what subjects they should have studies next (I mean life-science subjects). They are long depend on others to help them to set goal and boundaries.

A research conducted on Harvard Business School long ago has proved something cool about goal setting. They survey a group of graduates on the day before they graduate about their goal. 5 years later, they found that the 10% top performers who set a big and clear goal tend to earn few times more than the person that does not set goal. So ... lesson No. 1, must set a BIG and CLEAR GOAL. :)

So, about the subjects we learn after grads... haha... there are total 6 main subjects and 1 elective a person will study in his/her next 30 - 40 years career life.

1. Career
2. Financial
3. Family
4. Friends
5. Health
6. Community
7. Spiritual (Elective)

The cool part about these six main paper is that, we need to score equally on every paper in order to be balance success. A person with high position, high income but score negetive in health can barely enjoy the success in long run perhaps the illness and sickness will suffer him/her in his older time (I see this in Mr. Ooi.. hmm.. is he success?) Also, a person who are really good in business (career), financial, but performing badly in family (perhaps having a second wife) ... is either success in his long run living...

So, to be success, we need to have our baseline goals set for these 6 subjects. Set a stretchy yet achievable goal for our baseline, then review them each years to have more improvements. Apply the theory of CANI (Constant And Never-ending Improvement) or Kaisan to continue improve our life quality in each of these subjects.

After so long on the journey.. where am I now?? :P Is always good to review my milestone...
1. Career - 60% on target
2. Financial - 10% on target.. far for me now but I know it will come pretty soon.. haha
3. Family - 1 sweet and cute wife, 1 cute baby boy, and adding another sweet baby girl coming soon on Oct. :) hAppY famIly --> 75% .. until I learn how to be a GDE (Great Daddy Eddie.. :P)
4. Friends - 80% on target, I need to be more open.. ahah
5. Health - I am still over weight... if I would rate my this subject, it will be far below passing marks! Improvement Required.. IR
6. Community - Opps... somthing I always and still neglecting... am I finding it is not important.. perhaps.. need to relook into this. 0%
7. Spiritual - I am doing my best to follow the practice of a good buddist... :) Haha... anyway it is an elective.. so wait until 35 years old first.. hahah

Well, that's all I have as my check point... move on..
